Pacific Design Group was retained to provide space planning and construction documents for a new 3,630 square foot tier 2 data center in the basement level of Tucson Electric Power's headquarters. The area of work consisted of a 1,600 sf data center, designed to provide space for new and future equipment racks; a 440 sf UPS room; a 375 sf staging room and a 500 sf command center. A new 400 kW back up diesel generator and 2 air cooled chillers are located at grade adjacent to the building. This fast tracked project was delivered on time and within the estimated budget.
